Post Comment Love 8 - 10 December 2017

Hello there and welcome to another Post comment Love. Isn't Christmas drawing ever closer? And if you're anything like me you're nowhere near organised and you're just hoping that it'll take its time getting here. I know that's unlikely, but I can live in hope, right?

If you were here last week, then thank you, it was great to see you. If you're new here this week it's lovely to see you and I hope you'll enjoy the posts linked up - I know I'm looking forward to them.

It's been a week full of nights out for me, I'm up to three nights on the trot, which alone is taking its toll. There's been carol services, drinks receptions and beer pong with the students. You know, I've never been more grateful than I was during my inaugural game, and I'm thanking my netball skills for that. It's been a while since I've called on them, but it was good to see there weren't far away.

My photo this week is the decorations in Greenwich Market on the way home one night this week. They're pretty aren't they?

Post Comment Love and Bloggers Showcase 1 - 3 December 2017

Hello there and welcome to December - eek! Welcome to Post Comment Love, where any post you've written in the last week is welcome. If you were here last week it was great to see you, if you're new here then hello, I know you're going to find some great posts linked up. I know that as every week Morgan and I are spoiled.

My busyness at work is continuing and I'm arriving home each night mentally tired. I know help is on the way, and I know time spent training my two new recruits will be time well spent, but I also know I'll feel a little less effective (even more than now!) while that happens. But I will persevere, I'm good at that.

I'm off today and if I'm honest, not only do I need it, I'm also really looking forward to it. Unsurprisingly my home life  - and its organisation - has suffered from not being around so much and while I have way too much on my to do list for one day, I'm kind of looking forward to it too.

My picture this week is more of a reminder more than anything else. A reminder to look out my hat and start wearing it as it's been pretty chilly out there hasn't it?

2. How did you discover blogs/blogging?

I discovered blogs many years ago, when searching for online makeup tips!

I started blogging as I had wanted to for a long while. I love the beauty and blogging community, but I also wanted to talk about mental health, so I do both!

4. What do you find most challenging?

I can find time management challenging, but I'm getting used to juggling things now!

5. What is your favourite topic to write about?

I love writing about life. Daily struggles, mental health, and also life achievements. Just being a normal teen, but with an interesting perspective at the same time.

6. Are you blogging for fun or do you have goals?

I blog for fun! It's my hobby - I'm so passionate about it!

7. What is your favourite thing about blogging?

The community is my favourite thing. And the photography.

8. Have you ever attended a blogging conference and if so, what did you think?

No I haven't attended one.

My baking posts! And I liked my most recent, Happy Birthday Tamzin Lena.  Other favourites include My response to Kim Kardashian being robbed and Baking Tanya Burr's Chocolate Cookies.

10. Describe yourself in three words!

Loving, fun and quirky.

11. Are you a tea and biscuits or coffee and cake person?

Can I say biscuits and cake? I don't like tea or coffee!

12. What would your best friend/OH/mum or kids say is your best quality?

I listen, and give good advice.

Thanks Tamzin - biscuits and cake sound like a very good choice!

Post Comment Love 24-26 November 2017

Hello there and welcome to another #PoCoLo and Friday again so soon!  If you were here last week, thank you it was great to see you, if you're new here this week then hello you're very welcome - you'll find we're a friendly bunch and if previous weeks are anything to go by you'll find some great posts linked up.

It was a bit windy the other night wasn't it? I'd popped over to another of Homesense's new stores for a spot of shopping and could really hear the wind picking up, I was relieved when I peeked out of the window yesterday morning when there wasn't any damage. My jasmine which was growing up a bamboo wigwam was more horizontal than I'd like, but at least it was still in the garden!

It's also been a week that's felt more festive, and not just because of the shopping in Homesense and its baubles - more of that soon. In the cafe at work yesterday I was looking for something sweet and my usual go-to flapjacks were nowhere to be seen. But up stepped these festive cup cakes, and it was good, the flapjacks could be stepping aside for a while.

There was some Christmas music playing so it felt perfectly ok to tackle one of these. The festive music is a little early for me, but I can make an exception, as could the person behind me in the queue, clearly there was some kind of solidarity going on!
