Post Comment Love 26 - 28 January

Hello there, and welcome back to this week’s #PoCoLo - a friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any blog post published in the last week. We know you’ll find some great posts to read, and maybe some new-to-you blogs too, so do pop over and visit some of the posts linked, comment and share some of that love.

Please don’t link up posts which are older as they will be removed from the linky, and if older posts are linked then please don’t feel that it’s necessary to comment on those. If you were here last week it was great to have you along, if you’re new here this week we’re pleased you’ve joined us.

Thankfully the weather has warmed up a bit here, but it’s been so windy with two more storms in quick succession. Our garden furniture blew around a bit, but thankfully that’s been about it for us, apart from listening to the wind whistling past. I hope you’ve been equally as lucky not to suffer any storm damage.

Our days are starting to fill up, and that’s promising. As well as heading off to my second gelli plate printing class, we’ve been out for lunch and this morning we’re off for a walk around the local eco-farm. I’m not quite sure what that will entail, but it’ll be nice to have a look around the farm which is attached to where I go to have my hair cut, occasional massages and the cycling cafe which does a mean cheese and ham toastie!

We’ve also picked up some eggs from a local farm - literally four minutes walk (if that) along our road - and so now we’ve also met another villager, and have a dozen eggs in the process.

I hope you’re managing to keep warm - it’s been pretty chilly here with the ‘feel like’ temperatures reaching -6 and much lower than I’d like. I’ve not been out much, but of course the day that I needed to go out was the day with a frost on the car, typical hey? It was so cold though that the frost scrapings hadn’t cleared from around the rear window by the time I was heading back again after midday - I don’t think I’m built for cold-weather living!

The reason I went out was for the first of a course of classes I’ve signed up for to learn how to make something respectable using Gelli Plate printing. It’s much easier than I thought, and a bit peculiar too and you can see just some of my first attempt creations in the pile of artwork below - they’re not bad, but some refinement will make them better! It was good fun though, and I’m heading back next week and will share more about the craft, and how I get on here soon.

I feel like I’ve had a productive week, but one in which I don’t seem to have achieved a huge amount. I have managed to just about get to grips with the new to me Google Analytics tools, mainly so I could tick off the Top 10 post from my list.

I do like ticking things off my list - virtual or on paper, and yes, I’ve been known to add things to the list just so I can tick them off. That’s totally normal, right?

My photo this week is of some gorgeous flowers which arrived in the post - aren’t they lovely? They arrived on one of the chillier days and I think they were feeling the cold, but after a few hours in water and in the warm they perked up, let’s hope they want to hang around for a while.

Have a good week.

My wild and bloom flowers - yellows, pale pinks and lilac colours - which arrived in the post this week
