Welcome to this week’s #PoCoLo - a friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any blog post published in the last week - please do remember this, it’s not fair to others if you link older posts. We know you’ll find some great posts to read, and maybe some new-to-you blogs too, so do pop over and visit some of the posts linked and share some of that love. If you were here last week it was great to have you along, if you’re new here this week we’re pleased you’ve joined us.

What crazy weather we’ve had this week - we woke on Wednesday to a light dusting of snow which the rain was already sending on its way. It did leave us with an unusual looking conservatory roof for a short while though. I had some parcels that I needed to drop off at the post office, and I was so glad I did that the day before even though it was absolutely freezing. Yesterday the temperatures were back up to 10 degrees and drizzle, though I know further up the country there’s still snow and some more forecast. Hopefully we’ll be able to get back to warmer spring-like weather soon, and we can all get back to enjoying the luscious bulb growth!

I’ve an exciting competition running on my blog at the moment to win a pair of tickets for the last day of the BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair at Beaulieu, which I’ve also linked up as my post. There’s also a discount code to save 10% off tickets, so if you were looking to buy tickets be sure to check that out too.

You’re obviously very welcome to enter the competition, and I’d appreciate any shares on social media too before the competition closes on 25 March - thank you!

This week seems to have flown by, and I’m not exactly sure how, or what I’ve been up to really. I have escaped for a walk or two in the blue skied chilly afternoons, and on one of those walks snapped the photo in this post capturing the moon amongst the white flowering magnolia. We’ve had a couple more viewings on our house, but no news yet and I went to the dentist for a review appointment for my filling I had back in January. It’s all good, but to help protect the tooth in the longer term I will be having a crown, so that’s booked in for early next month.

I’ve also started a new crochet project - I’ve been itching to get going on something using that box of mini skeins I shared a photo of recently. I’d resisted until now, but I realise now I’ve missed crocheting as it’s been a while since I picked up my hook - hopefully as it’s a small make I’ll be able to share more soon.

This week has mostly been about cake, and very good cake at that. On Sunday we had a trip out in the car to Westerham, which is about half an hour or so from us. The weather was good, and after a stroll around the village which included a stop in an absolutely amazing Italian deli and store, where we picked up six of the most divine Italian desserts.

Later in the week I spent the day in Islington at the Garden Press Event and on the way home I stopped at one of the patisserie shops and left with cardamom and pistachio Chelsea-type buns, which were both delicious. And there was also the giant chocolate chip cookie I had alongside my flat white as I sat reflecting on the day. I saw some great things at the event and I’ll share more of them here soon. All this in the week that I’d been meaning to make a cake too, that hasn’t happened just yet!
