Welcome to this week’s #PoCoLo - a friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any blog post published in the last week. We know you’ll find some great posts to read, and maybe some new-to-you blogs too, so do pop over and visit some of the posts linked and share some of that love. If you were here last week it was great to have you along, if you’re new here this week we’re pleased you’re here.

It’s been mixed weather here this week and I’ve learnt that planning gardening jobs needs some flexibility. We’ve had rain and brilliantly warm sunshine, and where I thought I’d wait for the sun to hit the patio in the afternoon before pottering around there, I quickly remembered it is quite a sun trap, so the last thing I wanted to be doing was gardening.

It’s been great though to spend time in the garden during the day, whether that’s pottering about or enjoying the sun. As ever though my list is longer than I have time for, but it’s good to see the strawberry plants around the garden doing their thing without too much intervention from me. I’m looking forward to seeing how many we actually get to eat this year - wish me luck!

This week you’re joining us in the midst of an extended bank holiday weekend to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Unusually we’ve had a bank holiday on a Thursday, and unusually we’re also hosting the linky on a bank holiday too. Yesterday we headed over to one of the highest points in Greenwich Park, along with plenty of others, to see if we could spot any of the fly past. We could, and while the planes were a way away, it was great to see - and then to see their formations on the television later on.

Whatever you’re up to this weekend, have a good one.

This has been my view for most of this week, and it’s been very relaxing!

cows in a northumbrian field

We’ve spent the week in beautiful Northumberland and while the weather hasn’t been the best - we’ve had everything from hail, torrential rain and driving winds to glorious sunshine and slightly less winds, all on the same day. But we’ve been made to feel very welcome by everyone we’ve met, and even the cows have been curious but also completely unbothered. Our daily spa visit - there’s one on site where we’re staying - has become quite the welcome routine, though it’s the first time I think I’ve worn a waterproof over a bikini!

We’re travelling home today, so I’m looking forward to catching up on your posts - and to sharing what we’ve been up to.
