Welcome to this week’s #PoCoLo - a friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any blog post published in the last week. We know you’ll find some great posts to read, and maybe some new-to-you blogs too, so do pop over and visit some of the posts linked and share some of that love. If you were here last week it was great to have you along, if you’re new here this week we’re pleased you’re here.

Last week I told you I was having busy a busy week away from my blog and that’s continued. It’s been pretty full on here and I’ve not yet caught up with myself, instead getting further behind. However it’s, I hope, all for good cause - and if you've seen my Instagram stories this week you’ll know why. We’ve been full steam ahead on getting our house ready to put on the market, and ready for an Open House this weekend.

It’s something we’ve been thinking about and thinking it might happen in the not too distant future but after seeing somewhere we liked while we were away, things moved on a pace. The Open House is on Saturday, and dare I say it but now our house is spick and span again, it’s a really lovely house. I mean it’s lovely at any time, but with the pandemic and very few visitors, it was looking more lived in than pristine.

My photo this week is related to the work we’ve been doing, and credit where credit’s due MOH has been fantastic - even working with our neighbour to clean our rooftop skylight, no mean feat when you realise that’s three storeys up. Though truthfully, I think they both enjoyed being up there - there was no way you’d get me up there, let alone on a windy day. And anyway, I wouldn’t have got this phot if I was there too, would I?

Wish us luck and let’s hope someone loves our house as much as we do, and wants to be the ones to live here next.

Before you link up, next week is Easter so we’ll be taking a break and will back on Friday 29 April.

What a difference in the weather this week? It’s gone from sun and almost t-shirt weather back to very wintery - we even had some sleet here on Thursday. I much prefer the warmer stuff, and would be very pleased to have it back!

I’ve had a busy week away from my blog, what with catching up from a few nights away and a family visit too. The lighter evenings have meant we’ve had busy evenings and I’m hopeful that this will settle down and I’ll get back to my good blog habits again, so please bear with me.

And so, in honour of the colder weather my photo this week is of one of my crocheted blankets - a granny square that just kept on growing, and once it was done ended up quite a good match to our living room decor, quite unintentionally. And so it’s over the arm of the sofa, and if this weather keeps it up could come in very handy. There’s not been much time for crochet recently either, and that’s something else I need to rectify.

I’ve had this week off work, taking the last of my annual leave and it’s been well timed. I had a couple of days catching up with myself and pottering around, and then we’ve had some time away and once again we’ve popped up to Lincolnshire, it’s becoming a favourite place of ours.

My photo this week is of the hyacinths in a planter at Belton House. We’ve had some great weather, and the scent from the hyacinths was even headier than usual, they really are one of the ‘smells of spring’ aren’t they?
