Post Comment Love 1-3 April

Welcome to this week’s #PoCoLo - a friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any blog post published in the last week. We know you’ll find some great posts to read, and maybe some new-to-you blogs too, so do pop over and visit some of the posts linked and share some of that love. If you were here last week it was great to have you along, if you’re new here this week we’re pleased you’re here.

What a difference in the weather this week? It’s gone from sun and almost t-shirt weather back to very wintery - we even had some sleet here on Thursday. I much prefer the warmer stuff, and would be very pleased to have it back!

I’ve had a busy week away from my blog, what with catching up from a few nights away and a family visit too. The lighter evenings have meant we’ve had busy evenings and I’m hopeful that this will settle down and I’ll get back to my good blog habits again, so please bear with me.

And so, in honour of the colder weather my photo this week is of one of my crocheted blankets - a granny square that just kept on growing, and once it was done ended up quite a good match to our living room decor, quite unintentionally. And so it’s over the arm of the sofa, and if this weather keeps it up could come in very handy. There’s not been much time for crochet recently either, and that’s something else I need to rectify.

I’ve had this week off work, taking the last of my annual leave and it’s been well timed. I had a couple of days catching up with myself and pottering around, and then we’ve had some time away and once again we’ve popped up to Lincolnshire, it’s becoming a favourite place of ours.

My photo this week is of the hyacinths in a planter at Belton House. We’ve had some great weather, and the scent from the hyacinths was even headier than usual, they really are one of the ‘smells of spring’ aren’t they?

This week we’ve had some of that Saharan dust and reddy brown rain, which as you can imagine wasn’t so welcome, and soon after my white car looked like I’d spent some time rallying. I hadn’t. The saving grace was that its scheduled clean was postponed until after the sandy-rain, and boy did he earn his money cleaning it.

I’m hoping the weather for the weekend remains favourable as our plan is to sort out our shed - spring cleaning at it’s very worst, or best depending on your viewpoint - but definitely not something for inclement weather. I’d love to claim the photo is from my garden, but it’s another from our visit last summer to Barnsdale Gardens, but isn’t it glorious?
