Post Comment Love 12-14 November

Welcome to this week’s #PoCoLo - a friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any post published in the last week. We know you’ll find some great posts to read, and maybe some new-to-you blogs too, so do pop over and visit some of the posts linked and share some of that love. If you were here last week it was great to have you along, if you’re new here this week we’re pleased you’re here.

I’m writing this post earlier in the week than normal so it feels like not much has happened yet. That’s not true of course, but the reason for getting ahead of myself is because we’re finally off to see the latest Bond film. As is our usual way, just before the film ends its run at the local cinema! From the seating plan of the cinema, it’s only a small space and when I checked last there’s only a few seats booked. While it’s not great for the cinema to have more empty seats than full, to be honest it suits me just fine.

Later today we’re off for our booster Covid jab and hopefully I’ll feel more settled once that’s been done. It remains a funny old time. Hope all is good with you and yours, and you’ve still all your marbles - I’m questioning (again) if I have mine. But all is not lost, I know a shop in Norfolk where we can get some more!

Sharing that picture of the Aeonium last week was it turned out to be a prediction, as on our visit to the National Trust’s Greenway in Devon last weekend we saw many of them! I even remembered their name, and remind MOH just how much I liked them. Therefore this week I’m sharing a picture of a lobster dish from inside the house, and I’m wondering if that will have the same effect! Well, I can wish can’t I?

The sign not to touch next to the dish made me smile a little too much too. But isn’t the dish gorgeous?

At work during the week I said that I feel like I’ve missed a month or two this year, and I stand by that. On Monday it’s November, and it’s been another funny old year again so far hasn’t it? We’ve only had our heating on once so far this autumn, which is really no bad thing. Both MOH and I were brought up on the ‘put another jumper on if you’re cold’ but we haven’t even had to do that, yet - long may it continue!

I’ve a typically unseasonal photo this week too, it’s from the gardens we stayed in back in August - and these plants are also on my plant wish list. But you know I’m making progress there as this year I finally remembered to buy some alliums in time to plan them, along with some tulips too, so hopefully my spring will be looking more colourful for that.
