Welcome to this week’s #PoCoLo - a friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any post published in the last week. We know you’ll find some great posts to read, and maybe some new-to-you blogs too, so do pop over and visit some of the posts linked and share some of that love. If you were here last week it was great to have you along, if you’re new here this week we’re pleased you’re here.

This week we seem to have had all the weather - it’s been warm for the time of year, wet and windy and then quite chilly - but with those deceptively blue sunny skies. Walking into work yesterday after a deluge it was easy to see that Greenwich Park was feeling a little soggy, but beautifully so.

In other news the number of Covid cases are rising again, and that’s bringing concern. My concern is how the high number of cases are being normalised, and once again the government are putting the responsibility onto individuals, which if I’m honest isn’t great. The reduction of mask wearing over the past few months, since it’s no longer a legal requirement, is shocking. They’re not perfect, but my view is they’re a small way which we can all protect each other, and if the past few years have taught us anything, then we need to look out for each other. I’m not optimistic I’m afraid about where this will lead, but I’m hopeful that decisions will be taken earlier this time round, as none of us really want or need further lockdowns.

But anyway, back to my photo of a soggy Greenwich Park - it really is as beautiful as it looks (mud aside).

Last night we headed off to a local theatre to see the production of Out of the Darkness by Bromley Players. It was in the Bob Hope Theatre in nearby Eltham, which if I’m honest I didn’t know existed. But it was a pleasant surprise, and it was great to be back in a theatre again. It’s a great local theatre, and a shame that we’re only just discovering now.

The concert was billed as celebrating getting back into the theatre, and the long awaited return of shows, and promised a jam packed, fun and talented-filled evening. Just as we enjoyed being back in the theatre, it was obvious that everyone in the theatre, and not just those on the stage, were thrilled to be back in a place that they’ve not been in for so long. Their joy was so apparent and it was great to see the energy and sheer enjoyment of those on the stage doing something that clearly means so much to them.

Thank you Bromley Players for a great local night out, and for opening our eyes to a fantastic resource.

I’ve had a few days off this week which has been lovely, though as it turned out quite well timed. My dermatologist appointment from the GP’s referral back in August came through, and so on Saturday I headed up to our local hospital. Still with no petrol I decided to walk, and of course it rained. The original issue wasn’t much to worry about, though it was still cut out and sent for testing, but the dermatologist did spot a mole that concerned him more. As he said, my luck was in as the surgeon was also there on Saturday, so I left with (slightly) less body matter and a few stitches, and plenty of replacement dressings and strict instructions. That was the well timed bit as moving, and sitting down, was tricky - it’s easing, but still a bit bumpy around the stitches, but I’m sure it will heal. I just need to remember its tender, and preferably before I move or sit down with haste!

This week my photo’s taken from our back garden looking up at the gorgeous silhouettes on our neighbour’s rooftop balcony - isn’t it great?
