Post Comment Love 9-11 April

Welcome to this week’s #PoCoLo - a friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any post published in the last week. We know you’ll find some great posts to read, and maybe some new-to-you blogs too, so do pop over and visit some of the posts linked and share some of that love. If you were here last week it was great to have you along, if you’re new here this week we’re pleased you’re here.

It’s good to be back after a break for Easter, though the four day working week still messes with my head, lovely though the four day weekends are. At least with the May bank holidays ahead of us we’ll have a few more short weeks to come. Over Easter we spent time relaxing, walking, gardening and catching up with some chores at home - we needed the four days!

My photo this week, well who could resist daffodils at Easter - these double daffs literally opened overnight to be flowering on Easter Sunday, and they’re still going. Such joy!

I’ve another few days off, and while I’m just pottering around at home, it’s bliss. It’s MOH’s first week in his new job and even though he’s home our new working arrangements of having a bedroom each means we’re not under each other’s feet. I’ve realised though this week that I work better with some background noise, not much, just something there. I put on some podcasts and soon worked out I wasn’t actually listening to them so that was pointless, so have been trying the BBC Sounds app. I’ve yet to settle on a station, but I’m sure I’ll work it out.

This week my photo is from our trip to Barbados back in December 2019, even with the last year which felt undeterminably long, our trip doesn’t feel like it’s that long ago. It’s in the most beautiful and lush Hunte’s gardens, and I really should share more of that here. It was magical.

Before you link up, next week is Good Friday so we’ll be taking a break. We’ll be back on April 9, so have a lovely Easter!

This week we’ve had workmen in the house undertaking some work in our bathroom. They’ve been very good with the Covid restrictions, but the work didn’t go quite to plan and took longer than they anticipated. I took their arrival on Tuesday as my cue to move to my new desk on the top floor. It’s worked pretty well for me, though I haven’t quite cracked the leave work on time aspect yet - still.

What has been amazing is just how many of my colleagues have noticed - and commented - that I’ve moved. So much so that in some meetings, it’s become part of my hello, especially in a couple of workshops I’ve been in this week. We’ve all become familiar with a small part of each others homes via our regular Teams meetings, so it’s not really surprising that people are noticing.
