Welcome to this week’s #PoCoLo - a friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any post published in the last week. We know you’ll find some great posts to read, and maybe some new-to-you blogs too, so do pop over and visit some of the posts linked and share some of that love. If you were here last week it was great to have you along, if you’re new here this week we’re pleased you’re here.

This week we’ve had workmen in the house undertaking some work in our bathroom. They’ve been very good with the Covid restrictions, but the work didn’t go quite to plan and took longer than they anticipated. I took their arrival on Tuesday as my cue to move to my new desk on the top floor. It’s worked pretty well for me, though I haven’t quite cracked the leave work on time aspect yet - still.

What has been amazing is just how many of my colleagues have noticed - and commented - that I’ve moved. So much so that in some meetings, it’s become part of my hello, especially in a couple of workshops I’ve been in this week. We’ve all become familiar with a small part of each others homes via our regular Teams meetings, so it’s not really surprising that people are noticing.

I’ve had a couple of days off this week which have been both productive and creative. I’ve been able to get back to my patchwork quilt and now have sewn half of the blocks I need. There’s clearly the same again to go, but four of those blocks are on the go, so it feels like I’m just over halfway. I’ve a final few days off from this year’s leave allocation in a couple of weeks, and if everything works out as planned then MOH will have started his new job so my plan will be to make good progress with those remaining blocks. But we’ll see.

And creative? At Christmas these two printing presses were an addition to my ‘stamp’ collection. I’ve held off trying them out until now - I had more success with the cactus than the auriculas, but both look pretty on the shelf. They’re metal rather than rubber so I suspect that is a contributing factor to the success I’ve had so far, but I’ll be happy to just have these on my shelf.

This past week has once again passed in a blur, we’ve had some family news and some new job news (not me), but neither are my news to share so that’s as much as I’ll say for now. I’ve reached the creating end of another crochet project, and this time I’m determined to move it past this stage and make something from it. As I’ve realised that, apart from acquiring the yarn - a hobby in itself I think - my most favourite part is the actual crochet, and the next stage of making it up is a little behind that. The result is I have several projects lamenting in this stage so I really should push through this.

For this one I think I will. Not only am I in love with the pattern, but the ombre yarn brings its own challenges when laying it out, but I think I’ve cracked it.
