Welcome to this week’s #PoCoLo - a friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any post published in the last week. We know you’ll find some great posts to read, and maybe some new-to-you blogs too, so do pop over and visit some of the posts linked and share some of that love.

This week it’s been back to work at the dining room table and catching up is always a challenge isn’t it? I’m past counting the number of emails to reply, act on or delete, so don’t ask me. With two days of virtual away days, I’m quite quickly back to square eyes again.

My photo this week (which as I’m writing this post is playing up, so I hope it decides to show itself) is from our visit to RHS Hyde Hall last Friday. It was good to get out, though our journey over to Essex was through torrential rain. When we arrived we learnt that we’d beaten the rain there, but not for long! With buildings and shelters closed, we headed towards the woodland area and sheltered under trees. We weren’t the only ones with that idea, but somehow everyone managed to more than social distance.

Thank you for your kind words and birthday wishes last week. I had a lovely birthday and we’ve had a very productive week off work, even though it’s felt a little weird. We were due to be in a lovely cottage with a hot tub in the Lake District, but clearly we aren’t.

My photo this week is from our garden, and quite a win, I think. The cherries on the tree at the back of our garden is laden with slightly sour, but ripening cherries and they really do glisten in the sun. Our time off has been pretty productive, but more on that another day. We’re heading off to RHS Hyde Hall later today, so something new to photograph later I hope.

I have to start this week’s post with another apology. We’ve just had a long and relaxing bank holiday weekend, which was unusually warm and one where I enjoyed considerably less screen time than I intended. As a consequence I’m still catching up with myself, but I hope you’ll bear with me while I take some time for me.

The weekend was great. Busy enough and relaxing enough too. There was some crafting, some gardening, some cherry watching - see the picture below - and some sitting in the garden too. And a bit of sun on my shoulders, which always helps.

It’s my birthday today, and I know I’ll have a busy work day ahead of me too. But knowing that we have next week off - we’re not going to the Lake District - and knowing the weather forecast is good, will help.
