Welcome to this week’s #PoCoLo - a friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any post published in the last week. We know you’ll find some great posts to read, and maybe some new-to-you blogs too, so do pop over and visit some of the posts linked and share some of that love.

It’s been another quiet and work filled week here, the highlight I think has been making chocolate banana muffins, which are clearly not photographed below. I’ll tell you more about this week’s photo shortly.

Oh and a cheese delivery - our first from Neal’s Yard, and I suspect not our last, though not for a couple of weeks. We did enjoy some time in the garden last weekend. We got some gardening done, filled our green bin and then also found some time to enjoy the sun, and give the barbecue another outing, which when you remember it was still April is pretty amazing.

Though the last few days have been rather different weather-wise. It’s been chilly, wet and generally just a bit miserable. Even MOH hasn’t ventured out much this week. As always any kind of cake is welcomed here, and the coffee and cake in the photo below were probably the reason we almost missed our flight back from Lyon in February. That’s quite a call, but then again I was smitten with the plates.

I’ve another day off, I know, they’re coming along like buses at the moment. This time though MOH is also taking time off, so no doubt he’ll have me working in the garden (and I’ll be giving him jobs too). And if we’re lucky the barbeque will be on before the end of the day too.

We’re off, because we’re not going to Devon. We were due to be visiting family, but clearly not now. I’m hoping to share a not going to Devon post, but haven’t written that yet. Which has sort of summed up my week, I have plenty of plans but making them happen has taken more effort than it usually would.

There’s been few photos again, so I’m diving into my archives as I grandly call them. Another name is those still waiting to be edited. This one’s from our visit to Kenilworth Castle and it proves, not everything is what it seems. You might think this is the highest quality terrazzo marble, but no, it’s painted wood (or whatever).

Another reminder that everything is not always quite what it seems.

And it’s good to be back after a short break for Easter, which kind of crept up on me. We managed to get the barbeque on over Easter, but MOH also had a long day at work on the Saturday. We both think - actually we know - we’re working for too long, and it’s something we need to work on. Not this upcoming weekend though as he’s working again, I think his company is taking a small advantage as he’s worked every Saturday since this lockdown began.

And the lockdown at least is continuing, so we learnt yesterday. Even I’m starting to go a little stir-crazy, though I’ve had another couple of days off, and well, taking a day off isn’t the same right now. I’ve some more leave next week, as we’re not going to Devon.

There was some gardening over Easter too, and getting out into the garden is only to be celebrated. It was also great to see the fronds of my fern starting to make themselves known. I don’t think you can beat a fern unfurling.
