Post Comment Love 13-15 March

Hello there, and welcome to this week’s #PoCoLo - a friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any post published in the last week. We know you’ll find some great posts to read, and maybe some new-to-you blogs too, so do pop over and visit some of the posts linked and share some of that love.

In Monday’s post I was optimistically hoping for a less frenetic week. Well, so far that’s not happened, as like many people, our Coronavirus planning and actions have stepped up a gear, and I suspect there’s a little way to go yet.

Today though, I’ll be enjoying a day off and I’m very much looking forward to fish and chips. Somehow, fish and chips from a seaside town tastes so much better, doesn’t it?

Rhododendrons at Wisley

My photo this week is from our visit to RHS Wisley back in January. Back when we were still on track for visiting a garden every weekend, which quickly fell by the wayside. I was surprised to see the flowers out so early, and it looks as if the changeable weather might have got to them too.

Any plans that I had this week (at work) has been overtaken by our continuing preparations for Coronavirus, and while we’ve been monitoring and preparing readiness since the end of January, the speed of the viruses progress across Europe has been astounding. We do all have a part to play to ensure the safety of ourselves and others, and I’m shocked by the amount of people who still seem to be unaware of basic good hygiene principles.

Public Service announcement over.

My photo this week is one from our recent trip to Lyon, and a bit random, but one that appealed to me this week. I’m not sure why, but if analysed there’s probably some deep and significant meaning, or symbolism. It’s one of the explanatory information boards to explain an art installation, which has been graffitied and stickered.

Post Comment Love 28 February - 1 March

Who spotted that I’d completely lost it dates-wise last week? Not me, well not initially to start with. I started of with the wrong month (June?), changed it to January (even I know January’s not that long) and finally settled on the right month. February. Just proving I know.

And now we’re almost in March. But not before a leap day. Even I know that.

This week my photo is from our trip to RHS Wisley. It has succulents, a phormium (the spiky plant) and a hint of sun. The hint of sun is especially welcome isn’t it. Wednesday here was glorious, but very chilly. In fact I think it got colder as the day went on, but at least there was sun. I’m hoping the snow and ice that’s forecast doesn’t arrive.
