Post Comment Love 28 February - 1 March

Hello there and welcome to this week’s PoCoLo, a friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any post published in the last week. We know you’ll find some great posts to read, and maybe some new-to-you blogs too, so do pop over and visit some of the posts linked and share some of that love.

Who spotted that I’d completely lost it dates-wise last week? Not me, well not initially to start with. I started of with the wrong month (June?), changed it to January (even I know January’s not that long) and finally settled on the right month. February. Just proving I know.

And now we’re almost in March. But not before a leap day. Even I know that.

This week my photo is from our trip to RHS Wisley. It has succulents, a phormium (the spiky plant) and a hint of sun. The hint of sun is especially welcome isn’t it. Wednesday here was glorious, but very chilly. In fact I think it got colder as the day went on, but at least there was sun. I’m hoping the snow and ice that’s forecast doesn’t arrive.

Still no photos from Lyon, but there is one much closer to home. No photos from Lyon as I’ve still not edited them as work has taken up my time. Then when I’m home I’m catching up, photo editing has been way down the list. I’ve been working later than I really should but had a hair appointment yesterday evening and was determined to make it.

And make it I did. What shocked me though was how light it was. The photo below was taken around 5.45pm as I walked into Blackheath, on my way from Greenwich, and the light was only just dimming. Somehow I’d missed the lighter evenings, though it does feel early to be celebrating this.

I’ve spent the latter half of this week in Lyon, mostly it feels, eating. I’m out of practice, but the food and hospitality here are so very good. We’ve been exploring the city too. There’s plenty of quirky and interesting looking shops, and plenty of cake shops too. The hotel has a spa, and a great restaurant and the quirkiest bathroom, which I’m sure you’ll know delighted me!

My photo this week though isn’t from Lyon, but one from our visit to Andromeda gardens in Barbados- when I started this post I was clearly in need of some virtual vitamin D!
