Post Comment Love 31 March - 2 April 2017

Hello and welcome to another Post Comment Love. If you were here last week, thank you and if you're new here this week, welcome - I hope you'll find us to be a friendly bunch. Each week Morgan and I are thrilled with the range of posts you share with us.

This week has been one of catching up and if I'm honest, I'm not there yet. I've recovered from having a week of no wifi, and the shock that brought and I've realised I comforted myself by taking even more photos than normal. I've not started editing the nearly 1,000 photos I took but I expect there'll be plenty of duds in there.

We had a great week in Dorset with trips on the steam train into Swanage, a walk along the coast and back to the cottage on the Ridgeway. There were visits to Kingston Lacy, Max Gate and Hardy's cottage as well as Compton Acre gardens in Poole.  We took the bikes out a couple of days, one of those was very Famous Five style as four cycled to Lulworth Cove. No ginger beer though, a nice cuppa instead!

So I've plenty of blog content from that trip, and that's without the stop at Mottisfont on the way home.  Today though I'm sharing some photos from the wifi-less-but-beautiful cottage.  My photo though is from much closer to home and from my walk to work. I think the colour of this crimson magnolia is absolutely stunning and I'm looking forward to seeing it blossom.

Blogger Showcase: Kylie from Kyro and Style

This week Morgan is hosting all of Kylie's answers, but before you jump over there let me whet your appetite a little.  Kylie who blogs at Kyro and Style loves to write about fashion and describes herself as an avant garde, persistent and quirky which I can't help but wonder if that shows through in her personal style. You'll have to check out her blog though to find out, and don't forget to head over to Morgan's to find out much more about our Blogger Showcase this week.

Post Comment Love and Blogger Showcase 24-26 March 2017

Hello to another Friday, in a week that's been quite a lot quieter here than usual. If you were here last week, thank you, it was great to see you and sorry I haven't got to your post just yet but I've had an unexpected break this week.  If you're new here, welcome, Morgan and I are looking forward to reading all of your posts.

The quietness has been down to lack of wifi in the Dorset cottage I booked, and it's been a blessing and a curse. I'd hoped to spend some of this week catching up with myself blog-wise but that was not to be. Instead I've spent time editing photos offline which has been time well spent, and of course I've also been out and about in the beautiful Dorset countryside.

My photo this week is one from the cottage we've been staying in and I've been mesmerised by the shadows on the ceiling from the light shade.

Blogger Showcase: Mrs Mummy from Mummy Confessions

1. Who are you?

An Aussie mum of three. New to the blog realm.  My blog is Mummy Confessions. Lover of all things for babies and kids, great deals, and saving money. I spend more on my children than I even think to on myself. I love helping people and that's why I started blogging!

2. How did you discover blogs/blogging?

I know many people who have blogged, and they always have great things to say.

3. Why did you start blogging?

I hadn't written in years for personal reasons, but decided after much encouragement from my husband to get out there and start a blog. I wanted to help other mums and wives and tell them about all these cool things I've discovered as a mum.

4. What do you find most challenging?

Trying to find the time to write without distraction. It usually doesn't happen. I'm usually writing while chaos ensues around me.

5. What is your favourite topic to write about?

Baby products that have helped me.

6. Are you blogging for fun or do you have goals?

Somewhat for fun, but I would love to make a little money to help cover bills and take some of the pressure off my husband as sole provider.

7. What is your favourite thing about blogging?

That I can try to help people by telling them things I've learned, tried, and what products I've used that are helpful to me as a mum and person.

8. Have you ever attended a blogging conference?

No.

9. What are your 3 best posts?

My favourite ones are about Bonds Wondersuits, Teething, and how to save money/get cashback for purchases.

10. Describe yourself in three words

Exhausted, Excited, and Empathetic

11. Are you a tea and biscuits or coffee and cake person?

Can I do tea and cake? I don't like coffee though.

12. What's your idea of a perfect night out?

A night out to eat and chill with my whole family. Afterwards, the kids all go to sleep and stay asleep, and I can have some one on one time with my husband to just hang out!

13. Your perfect night in?

Chinese food or Italian, eat and watch a movie...no dishes to do...house is clean...and the kids go to bed without a fuss nice and early!

14. What would your best friend/OH/mum or kids say is your best quality?

That I am able to laugh all the time and make them smile with my stories of life.

Thanks for joining in Mrs Mummy, I particularly like your answer to the last question, that's a great quality to have.  Please don't forget to grab your "I was featured" badge.

Post Comment Love 17-19 March 2017

Hello there and welcome to another Post Comment Love. If you were here last week, thank you it was great to see you; if you're new here this week, welcome and thanks for joining Morgan and I.

It's been a lovely week hasn't it, with Spring really making its presence known. I've watched as the magnolia trees in Greenwich Park have literally blossomed as the week's gone on. Our garden too has sprung into life, and it was so nice to spend most of the day out there Saturday.

It's also been a pretty manic week as it always is as you get ready for a few days away. Busy at work finishing everything off and trying to do as much of next week's work as you can, and busy at home preparing. But all worth it I hope for a few days in Dorset, and I'm looking forward to some hopefully nice weather and my first bike ride of the year.

My photo this week is garden related, but not my garden. It's one from my visit to River Cottage HQ last November, it was a fantastic day and while I've shared pictures from the feast for some reason I've not yet shared the photos from the garden. I'm hoping to put that right next week too, but in the meantime I couldn't resist snapping this little cameo.

Blogger Showcase: Laurie from Vanity and Me

It always pleases me when one of our regular linkers is our Bloggers Showcase and this week we're pleased to feature Laurie from Vanity and Me.  Laurie is a regular linker and says she's more of a nanny blogger than a mummy blogger, but I'd say a very stylish one at that. I'm not surprised to hear her being described as organised, but that's not how Laurie sees herself, pop over to Morgan's blog to see how Laurie describes herself and more.

But before you go, make sure you're following her on her social channels:
