Post Comment Love and Blogger Showcase 10-12 February 2017

Hello there and welcome back to #PoCoLo, if you were here last week it was lovely to see you. If this week is your first time then welcome, we're a friendly bunch and both Morgan and I hope you'll become a regular.

My week has been busy, and been one of contradictions. There's been a fair bit of hospitality and eating and drinking and at the other end of the scale there's also been a mammoth visit to the dentist. My crown is finally on, but not without a fight and some misbehaving, from the crown, not me.

Somehow once it had the cement they couldn't get it on right, and the cement set so it needed to be drilled off. As a nervous patient anyway, this wasn't the best dental experience but there wasn't a lot I could do, was there?  It's on now, and has been behaving and I've a couple of weeks grace before I go back to pick up my mouthguard, which will hopefully protect my teeth from the grinding I've been doing in my sleep.

Consequently I haven't taken many photos this week, but of course to contradict myself, and on par with my week I'm sharing two in this post. They're from a shop window on the way to the dentist, which I paused and admired as I arrived there earlier than I expected. I must have known I'd need some home comforts, and when I left I could quite happily have curled up in these. Well, apart from the fact they were in a locked shop's window, of course!

I'm definitely seeing a trend here with faux flowers, and I've a feeling I'm going to break soon!

Post Comment Love 3-5 February 2017

Hello there and welcome to another Friday and another #PoCoLo - I'm not quite sure how we're already at February, but it's quite exciting I think. It means that Spring can't be that far away, but I suspect we'll have some more weather before we get to Spring blooms. If you were here last week, thank you it was great to see you and if you're new this week - welcome, it's great to have you along.

This week I've been snowed under at work, and it's been one of those rewardingly challenging weeks. It means time has been precious, as ever, and when I've got home each night I've just needed to sit and unwind a bit before getting on with my evening. Sometimes life is like that, well it is for me, but I'm curious to know if you also need a bit of calm at times, and how you find that.

I took the photo I'm sharing this week close to Tower Bridge, as I was in town for a work event. Usually I spend the week almost on the river in Greenwich and it made a nice change to see a different part of the river. Although the journey there on the bus and then the tube wasn't a patch on my usual walk to work.

Post Comment Love and Blogger Showcase 27-29 January 2017

Hello there, and welcome to another Post Comment Love. I've spent this week catching up with myself again after a couple of busy days in Kufstein and Munich. I had a brilliant time, enjoyed fantastic hospitality and had the most fantastic factory tour learning so much about lawnmowers, seeing the elastic properties of metal with my own eyes. And yes, you did just read that right, and it was so, so interesting.

The people I've told about it so far look at me incredulously when I get to that bit, but it was interesting. I've shared a couple of posts from the trip already, and will share the factory tour one shortly. And I hope you'll realise just how interesting it was and what great companies Stihl and Viking are.

My picture this week is perhaps an unusual one, but it's the pattern I like. It's a simple drain cover surrounded by cobbles and covered in snow, taken at the Fortress in Kufstein were we ate the most fantastic meal Thursday evening. So fantastic in fact that for me, breakfast Friday morning just didn't happen as there just wasn't any need for more food!
