Post Comment Love 8 July 2016

Hello there and welcome to this Friday's Post Comment Love. And hasn't it been nice to see the sun?!  Long may it continue, although my evenings need some readjusting to find time for blogging and everything else that I need to fit in.  This week we've cooked on the barbeque whenever we can, even if that means just cooking outside and eating indoors.

MOH was luck with the weather last Sunday for his mega-Essex cycle, completing 102 miles in under seven hours and he was still smiling at the end of it. I headed off to explore the gardens at Hyde Hall before returning to laze around on my picnic blanket in the field where he'd started and would finish. Lucky it was nice weather then, hey?

Post Comment Love: A half birthday!

Welcome to this week's #PoCoLo. I know, Friday already and not only that it's the first of July!  Which means Morgan and I have been hosting this fab linky for six whole months now - so we're celebrating our half birthday this week!  Hasn't it gone quick?  As ever we're glad to have you along, but before we get to that...

It's been quite a week hasn't it? One where I'll freely admit I've struggled with the result of the referendum and been saddened by what seems to be an increase in racial incidents. That's never ok and I like the idea of wearing a safety pin to show solidarity with our foreign-born population. Going to Brit Mums Live on Saturday couldn't have been timed better for me and it was uplifting to be in a room stuffed full of positivity.

It was great to meet up with Vicky and to meet Morgan and for me there was no other photo to share in this week's post, so here you have us #PoCoLo's hosts past and present.

It's fab that lots of you are still linking up each week, it's been a pleasure to share each and every one of your blogs.

If your blog is under a year old and you'd like to be featured in a future Newbie Showcase then please do get in touch with either Morgan or myself.

Post Comment Love 24-26 June 2016

I'm writing this post ahead of the EU referendum is taking place, let alone before the results have come in.  No doubt like all of you, I'm hoping the result went the way I voted. I know we can't all be right, but I hope we all used our vote.

And putting that aside, welcome to another edition of PoCoLo!  If you're new here please link up any post you've written in the last week and comment on at least a couple of other posts. If you've been here before, then welcome back and either way Morgan and I are pleased to have you along.  This week I received a lovely comment on Twitter about our Post Comment Love community and that was "it had consistently good contributors" and I couldn't agree more! So thank you.

This week's photo is one from our trip to France and is the best starter I had there - not that I had that many. It's a goats cheese apple tatin and it was fantastic. If I'd mastered the sweet kind of tart tatin (I haven't), I'd be tempted to try and recreate this.
