Post Comment Love 24-26 June 2016

I'm writing this post ahead of the EU referendum is taking place, let alone before the results have come in.  No doubt like all of you, I'm hoping the result went the way I voted. I know we can't all be right, but I hope we all used our vote.

And putting that aside, welcome to another edition of PoCoLo!  If you're new here please link up any post you've written in the last week and comment on at least a couple of other posts. If you've been here before, then welcome back and either way Morgan and I are pleased to have you along.  This week I received a lovely comment on Twitter about our Post Comment Love community and that was "it had consistently good contributors" and I couldn't agree more! So thank you.

This week's photo is one from our trip to France and is the best starter I had there - not that I had that many. It's a goats cheese apple tatin and it was fantastic. If I'd mastered the sweet kind of tart tatin (I haven't), I'd be tempted to try and recreate this.

Post Comment Love & Newbie Showcase 17-19 June 2016

Hello and welcome back to #PoCoLo - I'm still in France and will be back on the ferry overnight.

Thank you to Jayne for joining Morgan as co-host last week.

So what's been going on? What did I miss?  I'm looking forward to catching up with your posts to find out.  Today's image from Unsplash has no significance other than being a calming and very blue picture.  As I'm rushing around doing the post-holiday washing mountain I'll remember this image...

Newbie Showcase: Sam from Memories and Mayhem

Memories and Mayhem blog header
Sam from Memories and Mayhem blog

I’m Sam a 30-something, married to Mark, another 30-something, and we have two kids. Last year we bought what we hope will become the house of our dreams, but at the moment it’s a bit of a wreck and we are slowly renovating it in our spare time.

We also love to travel, although most of our money is tied up in plastering and painting at the moment so there’s not many funds in the travel budget right now, but we are all looking forward to a trip to Hawaii this summer!

I started blogging a few years ago but lost my way with it and gave up when the words stopped flowing. After a very stressful year I knew that I needed to start a new blog to give me a creative outlet and let the words flow. I’ve been blogging at Memories and Mayhem for about 6 months and I love having my little corner of the internet back! I blog as often as I can, but there can be breaks between posts as I suffer from Fibromyalgia and after a full day at work sometimes there is simply no energy left to blog.

I hope you’ll enjoy reading Memories and Mayhem and following our renovating mayhem and the memories we make on our travels. My favourite posts are:

Bonjour - un autre vendredi et un autre #PoCoLo - et oui je suis en France.

Hello - another Friday and another #PoCoLo - and yes I'm in France.  There's something slightly different for today's link-up because of that with Jayne from Sticky Mud and Belly Laughs joining Morgan as co-host today - you can find where to link up at the bottom of this post. Thank you Jayne!

Meanwhile in France, today I'm hoping for another chateau, because when you're in the Loire you really can't have too many chateaux!

Newbie Showcase: Bethany from Simply Said Seven

Bethany blogs at Simply Said Seven, she's a mom of five children and one extra and is married to her high school sweetheart and says she's a hands-on type girl. You can read more about Bethany and her busy life on Morgan's blog.
