Post Comment Love 19-21 January

Hello there, and welcome back to this week’s #PoCoLo - a friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any blog post published in the last week. We know you’ll find some great posts to read, and maybe some new-to-you blogs too, so do pop over and visit some of the posts linked, comment and share some of that love. Please don’t link up posts which are older as they will be removed from the linky, and if older posts are linked then please don’t feel that it’s necessary to comment on those. If you were here last week it was great to have you along, if you’re new here this week we’re pleased you’ve joined us.

I hope you’re managing to keep warm - it’s been pretty chilly here with the ‘feel like’ temperatures reaching -6 and much lower than I’d like. I’ve not been out much, but of course the day that I needed to go out was the day with a frost on the car, typical hey? It was so cold though that the frost scrapings hadn’t cleared from around the rear window by the time I was heading back again after midday - I don’t think I’m built for cold-weather living!

The reason I went out was for the first of a course of classes I’ve signed up for to learn how to make something respectable using Gelli Plate printing. It’s much easier than I thought, and a bit peculiar too and you can see just some of my first attempt creations in the pile of artwork below - they’re not bad, but some refinement will make them better! It was good fun though, and I’m heading back next week and will share more about the craft, and how I get on here soon.

I feel like I’ve had a productive week, but one in which I don’t seem to have achieved a huge amount. I have managed to just about get to grips with the new to me Google Analytics tools, mainly so I could tick off the Top 10 post from my list.

I do like ticking things off my list - virtual or on paper, and yes, I’ve been known to add things to the list just so I can tick them off. That’s totally normal, right?

My photo this week is of some gorgeous flowers which arrived in the post - aren’t they lovely? They arrived on one of the chillier days and I think they were feeling the cold, but after a few hours in water and in the warm they perked up, let’s hope they want to hang around for a while.

Have a good week.

My wild and bloom flowers - yellows, pale pinks and lilac colours - which arrived in the post this week

Hello there, Happy New Year and welcome back to this week’s #PoCoLo - a friendly linky which I co-host with Suzanne, where you can link any blog post published in the last week. Please don’t link up posts which are older as they will be removed from the linky, and if older posts are linked then please don’t feel that it’s necessary to comment on those. We’ve had all the weather here - including a lot of rain; so much so that when we walked towards the River Trent on New Year’s Day it was easy to see that it was full again, and we’ve had more rain since. There’s just nowhere for the water to go at present, here’s hoping that the weather behaves more over the coming days and weeks so that the water tables can return to more normal levels, and that no more storms head our way (and I mean that for us all).

Our first Christmas in our new house was good, with lots of family visiting and plenty of memories made. We even had one of those rare nacreous clouds over our back garden, and while it’s not the greatest picture, that’s the photo I’m sharing this week. It was much more dramatic in real life.

Here’s wishing you all a happy and peaceful 2024, and here’s to another year of our friendly linky - please do pop over to some of the other posts and share some love, it’s one of my intentions to read more blogs this year.
